Last minute session open this Friday!

I have a last minute session opening on Friday morning, February 2nd. 

If you would like to obtain a session on this date, please let me know as we are  booking June.

I also have two dates in April open, on the 16th and 20th of April.  These dates came available after a conference that I was supposed to attend was cancelled.  First come, first served! :)

Update: The April dates were all sold out on Wednesday, January 31st.

Natural beauty

E & K are repeat clients of mine, having had 6 sessions with me in the span of a year spanning their first session - a maternity session, followed by 5 equally spaces sessions for their daughter in the "Watch Me Grow" plan. 

E is naturally beautiful with an elegance and grace not easily matched.  She appears, on the surface, to be timid, and yet has this incredible comfort with herself, her body, and her pregnancies that is so refreshing.

E is what I call a "natural  beauty" in that there is not much that needs to be done to make her look beautiful on camera.  A little makeup, and she is ready to go and looks stunning every time.  E's images are seen throughout the website, especially in the maternity gallery, and prospective clients do take notice and ask whether their images will look like hers.  They notice her beauty, her poise, and the way she connects with the camera.  I've asked her more times than I can recall if she has ever modeled, and her answer is a shocking "no".  E, you should!  The camera loves you!

E returned this month for her second maternity session.  Her daughter is now 2 1/2 and they are now expecting twins in February!  I anticipate with great delight the opportunity to photograph her newborn twins.  I am beyond excited!

Here are a few images from our recent maternity session, about 10 days ago.  We wanted to create something different from her last session, and Ithink we did just that!

Session openings!

I thought it would be a good idea to post my session openings here so that those who are vying for an earlier spot than the schedule is booking could come here and see what is available!

Sessions are booking in June, but I have space which has come up as a result of some cancelled conferences which I was to attend this winter.

There is room for a session on:

Also, as a result of a rescheduled week-long event, I now have three dates in the week of April 16th, on:

Let me know if any of these dates appeal to you, and I will gladly book you in.  For those who are already booked, you may swap dates for an earlier date if that works for you!

Some minor changes to the product line

I am sorry to report that the sterling silver photo jewelry line which I premiered and carried in 2006 will not be offered in 2007.  Due to my commitment to clients, and ongoing problems with the vendor of this product, I will no longer be offering this line. 

I will, however, still maintain all of the wonderful products that you love including the Gina Alexander photo handbags, the leather image boxes with matted images, the custom handbound albums with imported swiss ribbon binding, and the best selling fine art canvasses!

I strive to provide only the best to my clients, and provide them with a product that is both beautiful and reliable.  I am always scouting new products to offer, and new additions to the current line.  Stay tuned!

Secret Santa!

Thank you to all of my clients from 2006 who helped make 2006 a wonderful portrait year!  I had a blast, and feedback from clients tells me that we're doing something right!  Look forward to some great new changes, and a heightened customer experience when I start projection of your images at the in-studio viewing appointments set to start this month!

For those clients who were here over 2006, you will soon be finding a little gift from me arriving in your mailbox!  For those clients who live close to the studio, that little gift showed up today via hand delivery from me (with the help of my eldest son who just HAD to play postman with me).  Look inside, and enjoy a little something to let you know I am thinking of you, and thank you again for entrusting me with your memories!  P.S. Be sure to read the fortune cookie insert!  wink wink...

For those who live a little farther away - yes that means those of you in the Greater Toronto Area, in the good ol' USA, and in Europe - you too will be receiving your packages, although with the mail, please allow time for delivery.  They will arrive to you shortly!  I had intended to mail these out before the holidays, but then if you read the post before this one, you will see why that was impossible...I was swamped!

So, thank you again for entrusting me with the opportunity to photograph your children, and your families this year.  It has been a year of births, teeny tiny babies, wrinkled babies, sleepy babies, not so sleepy babies, cuddly babies, roly poly babies, first crawls, first steps, first teeth, first words, slips, spills, smiles, giggles, grins and more.  I have enjoyed every single moment with you.  Thank you, once again.

Well slap my wrist!  It has been ages since I have updated the blog, and I am sorry for my absence.  The holiday season and portrait photography go hand in hand, and as expected, this holiday season lived up to previous years, and was a fight to the finish yet again with last minute orders, greeting cards, requests, and the continuous editing and proofing process for ongoing clients at the same time.  Needless to say, it was hectic, I survived, and yet still didn't finish my own holiday shopping.  As always, I say "maybe next year!!"  LOL!

Now that I am  back in full swing, and rested up from a relaxing week away with the family, I will be updating the blog often and also running some contests and promotions here so be sure to bookmark, or sign up on the left sidebar for the email notifications whenever this site is updated!  That way, you will always be the first to know!
